I Love Ronda, Part 2: Los Molinos

My hostel really exceeded my expectations.

View of the hostel from the city

The family who owns/manages the hostel were so lovely, by my second day it felt like home. And the views from the hostel were really something.

When I first arrived, I was worried I unknowingly chose a bad location. The views were great, sure, but it seemed so far from the city and I did not know how to get to the city without calling an expensive taxi. My first morning, my roommate (from Estonia) showed me how to get to town on foot: a twenty minute uphill hike. I appreciated how she made getting to town feel more like an adventure than a chore.

I am realizing that the people I meet and the vibe of the hostel can greatly impact my experience of a city. If I didn't enjoy the company of the other travelers staying at Los Molinos, maybe I wouldn't have loved my time in Ronda so much.
